Weekly monster: the Urmahlullu
The urmahlullu was a centauroid with a man's torso and the bottom half of a lion in mesopotamian mythology. According to Wikipedia, the urmahlullu was the guardian spirit of bathrooms. Oddly, this reminds me of a Mumford & Sons song. I wonder if Marcus Mumford, the songwriter who wrote Little Lion Man, was really talking about Urmahlullu and his brave adventures in the port-a-potty after he ate too much questionable chicken. Maybe the idea for the song came to him while he was spending some time in the toilet, scribbling lyrics on his toilet paper (or spongia). I have always wondered what songwriters do during their spare time. Now I know.
