What is an ichthyocentaur?

An ichthyocentaur is basically a guy with a fish tail and a horse bottom. I am not making this up. I wonder what their digestive systems would look like. There were two Ichthyocentaurs  in greek mythology: Bythos and Aphros. They lifted Aphrodite, the goddess of the sea, above the water on her cockle shell  (wierd... a fully-grown woman on a cockle shell...hmmm...). There is more information at: http://www.theoi.com/Pontios/Ikhthyokentauroi.html

Monsters are very interesting and I plan to make one blog post about monsters every week. Wish me luck, and please give feedback!

Joke: If a mute swears, does his mother wash his hands with soap?

Things that make me go Hmm:
Sauerkraut. Why is it called that? It is indeed sour, but is it krauty? What is the true meaning of krautiness?
Aphrodite, for reasons mentioned above.
Cockle shells. What are they and how in the world did they get such a suggestive name?
Skirt steaks- What happened to pant steaks? Or shoe steaks? And what would skort steaks look like...?

No shirt steak, no shoe steak, no service!
